Staff Spotlight | Kim Deskin
Kim Deskin has been a wonderful Yellow Wood Academy Community member for 6 years. She is one of our dedicated English Language Arts teachers working with our high school students.
Kim is also an accomplished actor and theater in local productions. This summer she had the honor of directing Fiddler on the Roof for KAMP Music, a Kirkland-based music school.
Not to mention, Kim is a accomplished speaker as she is presenting a workshop at the Art of Being Conference in Yakima. She is presenting "Easy (and Fun) Drama Games," designed to help educators lead interactive, inclusive theater games. The conference is sponsored by OSPI and designated as an intersection for Migrant and Arts Education. Kim said, she will be “presenting on behalf of the Washington State Thespians and with full Yellow Wood Academy pride.”
